She told me she had my pain meds and they should work and that was what she was going to use. However, when I told the nurse that I was in too much pain and needed it adjusted, she refused to call and get anything done. When the anesthesiologist came to talk to me about my pain meds for that evening, they told me to let them know if I was in pain and they would adjust them. When finished, he just stomped out without a word. Once when I needed to go to the bathroom the aide almost dumped me off the bed and when I told him I was falling, he shoved me back in bed the whole time never saying a word to me or changing his expression. When my catheter was removed, the area was not cleaned so I went home with a really bad bladder infection. My food was put so far away I couldn't get much to eat all day until my husband could get there at night. The excuse I got for the delay was that another patient had fallen and that ten other patients had been admitted and that taking care of them was more important. I begged them to send someone to help me-because of the graft-I was in terrible pain. I managed to get myself back to the bed but could not get in it. He never returned and after a half hour I was in excruciating pain. Once when I had to use the bathroom, a male aide set me on the pot and left with no way to call for assistance. During my surgery I had to have a bone graft taken from what I think of as my hip bone. The stay on the orthopedic floor wasn't any better. This hospital doesn't seem to care about what happened. All this damage to date has cost us approximately $8,000 out of pocket because our insurance will not pay for it. To make a long story short, the tooth couldn't be saved and the rest had to be extracted I had to have a root canal in the tooth next to it to save that one and it has taken months before I have been able to get some relief from the pain in my jaw. We didn't realize all of this, except for the jaw pain, until a few days after I got out of the hospital and tried to chew on this side and most of my tooth fell out.

Whoever the person was that did this managed to crack and break off a whole tooth, hit the one next to it and cause severe pain in my jaw. In the operating room, I was intubated for the surgery. After I was admitted and ready for surgery is when the most god-awful hospital stay I've ever experienced started. There was a lot going on, so we didn't think too much about this. The process of getting me admitted was slow and indifferent. Our first impression of this hospital was that it was old and a little dirty. I had an orthopedic surgery in April of this year. Since this hospital has refused to respond to my concerns, I decided that I should convey to the public what happened during my hospitalization so that a potential patient can make a better-informed choice. I've thought long and hard about writing this review.
